Explore Winter in Simcoe County
Living near County of Simcoe means there are endless bike trails to explore, even in the winter.
I recently experienced the fat bike trails at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park Nordic centre clocking 8.3kms. The beginner and intermediate loops were very enjoyable. The expert loop requires studded tires and great strength and cardio to climb the terrain. There was some pushing the bike up big hills involved.
There are warming stations outside with tables and fire pits and a little lodge to use the washroom, grab a snack and get changed.
You can also cross country ski or snowshoe. Equipment is available to rent if you haven’t got what you need to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful forest. Get outside and explore where you live!
